Univar Solutions acquires H.M. Royal to expand specialty distribution
Univar Solutions has acquired H.M. Royal, a 101-year-old specialty distributor of rubber, plastics, and adhesive additives in the United States.
Univar Solutions has completed the acquisition of H.M. Royal, a family-owned specialty distributor with 101 years of industry experience in rubber, plastics, adhesive additives, sealants, and protective coatings. The transaction strengthens the Performance Materials business within Univar Solutions’ Ingredients + Specialties division and broadens access to specialised products, technical knowledge, and established customer relationships, particularly on the US East and West Coasts, where H.M. Royal has a notable presence.
H.M. Royal operates more than ten strategically located warehouses across the United States and offers over 1,000 chemical grades. The company supports customers with supply, repackaging, and inventory management capabilities, serving industries including transportation, electronics, medical, construction, agriculture, mining, and industrial markets. As a third-generation, family-owned business, it has built its reputation on personal service and long-standing supplier relationships.
