Elkem announces partnership with Silstar

Elkem Silicones has announced the appointment of Silstar South Africa as its new exclusive agent and distributor for South Africa and neighbouring countries.

As exclusive agents and distributors for Elkem, Silstar is supposed to offer local customers technical expertise on Elkem Silicones solutions. According to company information, Silstar teams support Elkem’s customers from sampling to industrial trials, order placement and after-sales support. Silstar agents are integrated into Elkem’s business operations and systems, benefitting from the same information access as traditional Elkem sales representatives for a seamless customer experience.

Local subsidiary

As Elkem points out, the company’s partnership with Silstar and the launch of a local subsidiary is intended to support South Africa and neighbouring countries, including Namibia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Lesotho, Botswana, Madagascar, Angola, Zambia and Tanzania.
