Palmer Holland reorganises business unit with dedicated coatings team
North American specialty chemical distributor Palmer Holland has restructured its Industrial Specialties business into four separate market-focused teams. The reorganisation establishes a standalone coatings team, separating it from the former combined CASE structure.
Palmer Holland, an employee-owned North American specialty chemical and ingredient distributor, has reorganised its Industrial Specialties business into four dedicated market teams: Coatings; Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers; Engineered Materials; and Lubricants. The new structure took effect on 25 August, replacing the distributor’s former combined CASE organisation with separate teams for coatings and adhesives, sealants and elastomers.
Each of the four teams will operate with dedicated business leadership, technical support, and commercial strategies. According to Palmer Holland, the reorganisation is intended to increase market specialisation, strengthen supplier relationships, deepen technical expertise, and align investment more closely with individual market opportunities.
New leadership structure for coatings and adjacent markets
Dave Ruggieri has been named business director for the Coatings team. Alex Snyder will lead Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers, John Battaglia will head Engineered Materials, and Matt Miller will take responsibility for Lubricants. Tony Denton will serve as senior vice president of Industrial Specialties. Ron Zmich, who previously led Industrial Specialties, will move into the role of director of commercial training and development.
In a separate appointment, Palmer Holland named John Outcalt as vice president of international sales and strategy, following the company’s expansion into Latin America. CEO Tim Skufca stated that the dedicated teams are intended to bring leadership, commercial decisions, and sales execution closer to the individual markets the distributor serves.
