Samuel Schär is the new CEO of Bühler
Stefan Scheiber’s successor joined the Swiss technology group 20 years ago.
Samuel Schär took up his position as CEO of Bühler on 1 January. He succeeds Stefan Scheiber, who will be proposed as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting in February 2026.
“More than ever, Bühler is playing an important role in the transformation of the food and feed industry and the mobility sector towards greater sustainability. I look forward to leading the company into its next phase of development. As before, our focus will remain on solutions that deliver added value for our customers. We are committed to forward-looking innovations and healthy growth for our company. Together with our global teams, we will continue to build strong partnerships and deliver solutions that help our customers succeed,” said Samuel Schär on the occasion of his appointment as CEO.
Samuel Schär’s appointment represents continuity and stability for Bühler’s employees, customers, and partners. Schär joined the company 20 years ago to build up the Nanotechnology business unit. He then headed the Grinding & Dispersing business unit for several years before joining the Executive Committee in 2013 and successfully leading the Advanced Materials segment for ten years. He later took over responsibility for the global Services & Sales organisation.
Samuel Schär studied physics at EPFL Lausanne in Switzerland.
