Cabot Corporation: Erica McLaughlin to succeed Sean Keohane

Cabot Corporation has announced that Sean Keohane will retire as President and Chief Executive Officer and step down from the company’s Board of Directors, both effective 30 September 2026. Erica McLaughlin, currently Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Strategy, has been elected to succeed him as President and CEO with effect from 1 October 2026. She will also join the Board of Directors as a member of the class of directors whose term expires at the 2029 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.

Keohane will remain with the company in an advisory capacity through the end of the 2026 calendar year to support a smooth handover. Following McLaughlin’s appointment, Cabot has commenced a search process to identify a new CFO.

McLaughlin brings nearly 25 years of experience at Cabot

McLaughlin joined Cabot in 2002 and has held a broad range of senior leadership positions within the company’s finance and strategy organisations as well as its Reinforcement Materials business. Prior to her current role, which she has held since 2018, she served as Vice President, Business Operations for Reinforcement Materials and General Manager of its tyre business, as well as Vice President of Investor Relations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Azenta Life Sciences and on the Advisory Board of FM Global.

A succession process described as deliberate and planned

Keohane has served as President and CEO since 2016. During his tenure, he focused the company’s portfolio around its core businesses, developed its entry into battery materials, advanced the company’s sustainability agenda, and strengthened its commitment to operational and commercial excellence
