Rakem Group and Organik Kimya extend partnership
The Rakem Group and Organik Kimya are continuing their partnership to offer water-based polymer emulsions for the British coatings, textiles and adhesives industry. The focus is on sustainable and low-carbon innovations.
The Rakem Group, a British distributor and manufacturer of speciality chemicals, has renewed its partnership of over ten years with Turkish company Organik Kimya, a provider of sustainable polymer emulsions. Under the agreement, the Rakem Group will continue to distribute water-based polymer emulsions from Organik Kimya to the British coatings, textiles and adhesives industry via its site in Bury.
The partnership reflects both companies’ shared commitment to sustainability. Organik Kimya, known for its focus on low-carbon innovations, has made a name for itself through the use of renewable energy and the expansion of sustainable production capacity in Europe. The company has been operating its Rotterdam plant entirely on certified renewable energy since 2017 and is currently investing in one of the largest land-based solar projects in Turkey.
Water-based solutions for a sustainable future
With the extended partnership, the Rakem Group is supporting its customers in making the transition from solvent-based to water-based products. Both companies have been recognised for their efforts in sustainable business practices: the Rakem Group and Organik Kimya have both been awarded EcoVadis Gold certification for their outstanding performance in the areas of environment, sustainability and social responsibility.
