Woodcoatings Congress

PRA's 12th International Woodcoatings Congress took place from October 20-21, 2020 in Amsterdam, hosted by the PRA World, in partnership with Vincentz Network.

Addressing the challenges of modern wood coatings

Following the very successful sell-out conference held in 2018, this conference again provides a unique opportunity for personal interaction with like-minded professionals - disseminating new technology, collaboration and networking.

According to the world’s largest furniture retailer based in Sweden, "We love wood because it’s durable, renewable, recyclable and beautiful.”

However, being a natural material, wood is not homogeneous and can be exposed to many challenges in service, whether in indoor or outdoor situations. The technology of woodcoatings continues to evolve as a better understanding of these complexities is obtained, with the additional requirement of minimising environmental impact.

Call for papers

PRA’s 12th International Woodcoatings Congress is calling for papers.

Companies and research institutes are invited to submit abstracts describing new scientific and technical developments in formulating and testing coatings for interior or exterior wood applications. Papers which address the important issues of sustainability and environmental protection are of particular interest. A range of papers is welcome, from fundamental research to practical end-use applications: from research institutes, academia, raw material suppliers, equipment manufacturers and paint formulating companies.

Please submit your abstract before 10 April 2020.

Who should attend

Attendance at the congress is important for technical, marketing, production and general management staff who are involved in the protection of wood. Raw material and equipment suppliers, paint formulators, end-users and participants from research institutions and academia from around the world are all potential beneficiaries of this unique, intensive two-day collaboration with like-minded experts.
