PPG has acquired EMM International, a provider of solutions for automotive body shops. The acquisition strengthens coating’s offering in paint preparation and processing across Europe and the U.S.
PPG, a global supplier of paints, coatings and speciality materials, has announced the acquisition of EMM International, a Netherlands-based company specialising in automotive paint preparation and processing. With more than 40 years of experience, the Dutch company operates under the well-known brands “Colad”, “Finixa” and “Hamach”, serving customers in over 100 countries. The company’s headquarters are located in Zwolle, the Netherlands, with additional operations in Belgium, Germany, France and the U.S., making it a key player in the automotive body shop market.
Through this acquisition, U.S. paint producer’s aims to strengthen its portfolio of “outside-the-can innovations,” supporting body shops from the start of the vehicle repair process to its completion. EMM’s expertise in personal protection solutions, advanced paint preparation tools and mixing room innovations will now complement PPG’s existing offerings, enabling a broader range of solutions for automotive professionals.
