Azelis has acquired one hundred per cent of the shares in Distona AG, a distributor headquartered in Rapperswil-Jona near Zurich. Founded in 2014, Distona has built a solid reputation in the Swiss industrial chemicals market, particularly in CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers), Advanced Materials & Additives, and Lubricants & Metalworking Fluids. The company serves more than one hundred and fifty customers and is supported by a team of six professionals, including three experienced sales specialists.

With this acquisition, Azelis strengthens its salesforce in Switzerland, broadens its product portfolio and creates synergies across the combined businesses. Customers will benefit from a wider range of innovative products, while principals gain enhanced exposure and opportunities to expand their market presence.

Strategic addition to Azelis’ portfolio

Distona’s established position and customer network in Switzerland complement Azelis’ global resources and expertise. The integration supports Azelis’ strategy of growing its market position through targeted acquisitions and deepening its reach in the Swiss specialty and industrial chemicals sector.

Distona’s co-owners, Daniel Altorfer and David Nipkow, highlighted the opportunities arising from joining Azelis, particularly in innovation and sustainable solutions. Marnik Tack, COO of Azelis EMEA, emphasised that the acquisition fits well with the company’s long-term growth strategy and strengthens its regional market presence.
