Orion, a global supplier of carbon black, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Puckett as Chief Financial Officer. With over 30 years of financial expertise, Puckett will assume his new role on 1 December 2025, succeeding Jeff Glajch.
Orion has named Jonathan “Jon” Puckett as its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 1 December 2025. Puckett succeeds Jeff Glajch, who announced his retirement earlier this year but will remain with the company until 31 December 2025 to ensure a seamless transition. Glajch will also provide consulting services during the first quarter of 2026.
Puckett brings a wealth of experience with over three decades in financial leadership, primarily within the chemical industry. Before joining Orion, Puckett spent 14 years at Celanese Corporation, serving most recently as Vice President and CFO for the Acetyl Chain segment. His tenure at Celanese included various senior financial roles, where he contributed to strategic and operational success.
Strategic growth and leadership expertise
Orion CEO Corning Painter expressed confidence in Puckett’s appointment, stating, “Jon’s broad functional skillset, deep financial expertise and demonstrated success in driving businesses towards financial and strategic goals make him an excellent fit for our company. This leadership change comes at a pivotal moment as Orion navigates its next phase of growth and profitability.”
