Kansai Helios restructures architectural coatings operations in Adriatic region
The coatings manufacturer has revealed plans to restructure its architectural coatings operations across the Adriatic region. The initiative is part of the company’s broader transformation programme, designed to streamline production, accelerate innovation, and support long-term growth.
As the architectural coatings segment has expanded, the complexity of its production landscape has grown, prompting the need for a more focused approach. Under the new strategy, production, technology, and R&D activities will be aligned within a complementary network of sites, each specialising in its strengths. The Slovenian site in Količevo will remain a key hub, combining advanced technical expertise with integrated development capabilities. Meanwhile, the Serbian facility in Gornji Milanovac will solidify its position as a scalable production site, supporting regional growth and future development.
Transition in Croatia to ensure stability and continuity
As part of the restructuring, production activities currently carried out at Chromos boje i lakovi in Zagreb, Croatia, will be gradually relocated to the Slovenia and Serbia sites. Despite the phased discontinuation of production in Zagreb, the Croatian market remains strategically important for Kansai Helios. The company will maintain its presence through Kansai Helios Croatia, which will act as a trading organisation providing the full portfolio and ensuring continuity for local customers and partners.
The transition, which will unfold over several years, is structured to minimise disruption and uphold established quality standards. According to Kansai Helios, customers can rely on consistent supply reliability throughout the process.
