Akzo Nobel opens colour blending facility in Thailand
Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings has inaugurated a new colour blending and distribution facility in Chonburi, Thailand, to strengthen its support for aviation customers across the Asia-Pacific region. The site offers locally blended aerospace coatings and improved product availability for commercial operators, MROs and OEMs.
Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings officially opened its new colour blending and distribution facility in Chonburi, Thailand. The new facility has been established to provide locally blended and in-stocked coating solutions tailored to individual customer requirements. From the Chonburi site, the company will offer local blending of aerospace topcoats alongside access to primers, thinners and curing solutions, with the aim of reducing lead times and strengthening technical and commercial support for customers across the region.
Strategic location to serve Asia-Pacific aviation
The Chonburi site is located approximately 90 minutes from Bangkok International Airport, east of Pattaya. According to the company, it will play a key role in supporting the region’s growing aviation industry with local availability of essential aerospace coatings products.
Marius Vasiliu, Regional Sales Director for Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings Asia Pacific, commented on the expansion: “The new opening of our Chonburi facility is an important milestone as we look to support commercial aviation operators, MROs, OEMs, and industry partners across the region. Customers can expect fast access to the products they need, backed by technical expertise and increased responsiveness for locally blended and stocked coatings solutions at the highest quality.”
Local blending to reduce lead times
Vasiliu further stated: “From this site we will be able to offer increased distribution capabilities, reducing lead times for local blending of topcoats alongside streamlined access to primers, thinners and curing solutions.”
The facility serves commercial aviation operators, MROs (maintenance, repair and overhaul organisations) and OEMs in the Asia-Pacific region, and forms part of Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings’ ongoing commitment to expanding its regional presence.
