Event Webinar
21. Oct 2025 | OnlineEC Webinar on behalf of Syensqo: Syensqo’s Next-Gen Solutions – Boosting Adhesion & Corrosion Resistance in DTM Coatings
15.00 h - 16.00 h CET
Waterborne coatings have experienced tremendous advancements worldwide in recent decades. Consumers, professional painters, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and government regulators increasingly recognize the benefits of environmentally friendly waterborne coatings, such as reduced VOC emissions, ease of cleanup, and low odor. However, this transition continues to present challenges in meeting the high performance standards. Recent advances have focused on narrowing this performance gap through the development of advanced latex polymers, which integrate specialty monomers functional groups into the polymer backbone.

Abstract
Waterborne coatings have experienced tremendous advancements worldwide in recent decades. Consumers, professional painters, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and government regulators increasingly recognize the benefits of environmentally friendly waterborne coatings, such as reduced VOC emissions, ease of cleanup, and low odor. However, this transition continues to present challenges in meeting the high performance standards.
Recent advances have focused on narrowing this performance gap through the development of advanced latex polymers, which integrate specialty monomers functional groups into the polymer backbone. Sipomer® MAC represents the next generation of specialty monomers, designed to improve adhesion on challenging substrates such as galvanized steel, iron, glass, ceramics, and copper. It also improves water resistance, gloss, opacity, color development, durability and, in addition, provides advanced corrosion protection, meeting ISO 12944-2 C3 and even partially C4 corrosion classifications.
Join us to learn more about Sipomer® MAC and how it can help improve the performance of your waterborne coatings.
