Siegwerk and X-Rite Pantone introduce cloud-based colour management solution
Siegwerk and X-Rite Pantone are offering a new platform for precise and efficient colour management in packaging printing. The solution ensures consistent colour results and optimises production processes.
Siegwerk has partnered with X-Rite Pantone to develop a new cloud-based colour management platform: “Colorwerk FastMatch Cloud”. This solution combines colour formulation, colour correction, and quality control in one integrated system, helping printers achieve consistent colour results across multiple locations and printing machines.
The solution is part of Siegwerk’s global colour management programme and provides centralised management of colour data and standardised formulations via a secure cloud database. The platform accounts for specific requirements such as varying tolerances and pigment selections, ensuring reliable colour reproduction across the entire value chain.
Efficiency and sustainability through advanced technology
Fully integrated with X-Rite Pantone solutions, the platform keeps digital colour libraries up to date and ensures compliance with industry standards. One major highlight is its speed: the platform generates colour formulations in less than 20 seconds – an improvement of 50 % compared to previous systems. This enhances the first-hit colour accuracy, minimises waste, and reduces printer downtimes. Additionally, the platform enables the reuse of returned printing inks, offering a sustainable advantage by reducing stock of aged inks, saving costs, and optimising storage space.
