Bodo Möller Chemie opens warehouse in India
With a new AS 9120-certified warehouse in Bengaluru, the Bodo Möller Chemie Group is strengthening its position in the growing aviation segment. The facility meets international standards and is aimed at leading OEMs such as Boeing and Airbus.
The Bodo Möller Chemie Group has opened a new warehouse for aviation and speciality chemicals in Bengaluru, India. The 930 m² facility in the Peenya Industrial Area is one of the few storage sites in India that meets the requirements of AS 9120 certification. With cooling capacities down to -25 °C and equipment for temperature-sensitive materials such as film adhesives and epoxy resin systems, the facility is aimed at the growing requirements of leading aviation OEMs such as Boeing and Airbus, as well as tier 1 suppliers.
“India is increasingly developing into a strategic hub for aerospace and advanced manufacturing,” says Frank Haug, CEO of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group. The investment in the new infrastructure reflects the company’s confidence in the Indian market and underlines its commitment to providing a first-class supply chain and technical support.
A strategic location for the aviation industry
India is one of the fastest-growing aerospace markets in the world. Bengaluru, often referred to as the centre of Indian aerospace, offers ideal conditions for establishing a regional warehouse. The new facility is intended to guarantee short delivery times, local material availability and comprehensive support – from the manufacture of aircraft parts and fuselage production through to maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services.
With AS 9120 certification, Bodo Möller Chemie is relying on an internationally recognised quality seal that strengthens the company’s competitiveness not only regionally but also globally. The new facility closes an important gap in the supply chain and supports OEMs in meeting their high standards for quality and availability.
