BASF Coatings appoints new Executive Committee
The team, led by Jens Luehring, consists of seven executives who will oversee the strategic development of the company starting 1 July 2026.
BASF Coatings has announced the composition of its new Executive Committee, which will assume responsibility for the strategic leadership and development of the company. With this clear leadership structure, BASF Coatings aims to strengthen its position in the global coatings and paint industry.
The Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is led by Jens Luehring, CEO of BASF Coatings. Michael Pontzen serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ewout van Jarwaarde is Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Frank Naber is Executive Vice President (EVP) Surface Treatment. Patrick Zhao is Executive Vice President (EVP) Mobility Coatings. Steve Arndt is Executive Vice President (EVP) Refinish Coatings. Dr. Nils Lessmann is Executive Vice President (EVP) Operations Mobility/Refinish.
The new leadership team will strengthen the strategic direction and ensure the successful development of BASF Coatings. The members of the committee bring extensive experience in their respective fields and are responsible for key business areas within the company.
