Stahl expands packaging coatings portfolio with acquisition in Brazil
Stahl has signed an agreement to acquire the graphics coatings business of Weilburger Coatings in Brazil. This move aligns with Stahl’s Packaging Coatings growth strategy and strengthens its position in the Latin American market.
The acquisition adds a complementary portfolio to Stahl’s offering, targeting the dynamic Brazilian and Latin American markets. These regions show strong growth potential in packaging segments such as food, beverage, and consumer goods. By leveraging Weilburger’s established customer base and proven technologies, Stahl aims to address evolving market demands while accelerating regional growth.
Strengthening presence in Latin America
To support this integration, Stahl plans to progressively insource the acquired product portfolio into its own site in Brazil throughout 2026. Investments have already been made to expand manufacturing capabilities, ensuring the production of both existing Stahl technologies and the newly acquired Weilburger Graphics coatings.
The acquisition is expected to be finalised in the coming weeks, subject to regulatory approvals, marking a significant step in Stahl’s expansion within the global packaging coatings sector.
