IMCD announces new managing director for Canada

The global distributor of speciality chemicals and ingredients has appointed Reanne Rust as the managing director for its Canadian operations. With over 20 years of experience in speciality chemicals, Rust will lead the company’s growth strategy in Canada, focusing on innovation and customer-centric solutions.

Reanne Rust, who has accumulated more than 20 years of industry experience, officially assumed the role on 1 October 2023. She succeeds former managing director David Wright, who has transitioned to a regional leadership role within the company.

Rust’s professional background spans various leadership positions across the speciality chemicals sector, including roles in sales, marketing, and operational management. Her career trajectory highlights a consistent focus on driving customer-centric strategies and fostering innovation within the coatings, adhesives, and other high-performance materials markets.

IMCD emphasised that Rust’s appointment aligns with the company’s broader objective to strengthen its presence and capabilities in Canada. The Canadian market, known for its diverse industrial landscape, offers significant opportunities in segments such as paints and coatings, construction materials, and technical polymers.
