BASF and Oqema agree on distribution partnership in Central and Eastern Europe

BASF and chemical distributor Oqema have entered into a new distribution partnership covering polymer dispersions and additives for paints and coatings in selected Central and Eastern European countries, effective January 2026.

BASF and Oqema have signed a distribution agreement covering polymer dispersions for construction and architectural coatings as well as additives for paints and coatings in selected Central and Eastern European countries. The partnership will take effect on January 1, 2026, and includes markets such as the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Croatia.

Under the agreement, Oqema will be responsible for sales, logistics and customer support in the region, while BASF continues to supply the products. The cooperation is intended to improve regional availability and customer access to BASF’s materials.

Strengthening regional supply structures

According to the companies, the partnership aims to ensure reliable supply and flexible delivery across the covered markets. Customers are also expected to benefit from technical support and application-related expertise provided by Oqema.

With this step, BASF and Oqema seek to strengthen their position in Central and Eastern Europe and address the specific requirements of local construction and coatings markets.
