Chem Quest appoints three new directors to strengthen expertise in specialty chemicals

Global consulting firm Chem Quest has added three new directors – Bernardo Montes, Ph.D., Steven Roth, Ph.D., and Richard Karpowicz, Ph.D. – expanding its leadership team and expertise in strategy, technology, market intelligence and M&A for the specialty materials sector.

Chem Quest, a consulting company focused on the specialty chemicals and materials industry, has appointed Bernardo Montes, Ph.D., Steven Roth, Ph.D., and Richard Karpowicz, Ph.D. as new directors. Montes brings extensive global operations management experience from roles at Thyssen Henschel, Thyssen Gus, Thyssen Stearns and Milliken & Co. He holds a master’s in industrial engineering, an MBA and a PhD from the University of Oviedo.

Roth offers deep expertise in speciality chemicals across fragrances, home care, coatings, adhesives and feed additives, gained at Emerald Kalama Chemical and Lanxess, most recently as director of finance and growth at Cowboy Country Law. Roth holds a PhD in bio-organic chemistry, an MBA from the University of Oregon and a bachelor’s in chemistry. Karpowicz is a chemist and ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt with four decades of experience in adhesives, tapes, labels and medical devices, bridging research and development, operations and quality. Karpowicz most recently ran Adhesive Tape Label LLC.

CEO Daniel Murad emphasised that clients increasingly seek perspective, expertise and support to navigate change and growth. The three new directors bring extensive experience in research and development, operations, quality, business development and manufacturing excellence, supporting Chem Quest’s global consulting projects in the specialty materials industry.
