Union Coating & Chemical Industries has announced plans to build a manufacturing facility in Glasgow, Kentucky, in cooperation with the Barren County Economic Authority and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear. The company will invest about USD 11.9 million (approximately EUR 11 million) in the first phase of the project, with total investment expected to reach USD 20 million (around EUR 18.6 million).

The plant will initially produce powder coating compounds, with the option to expand into additional product lines as demand increases. The new facility marks the company’s first production site in the United States.

Expanding international footprint

Union Coating & Chemical Industries describes the Kentucky plant as a strategic move to serve customers in North America more efficiently and shorten supply chains. The company aims to create local jobs and establish long-term partnerships in the region through this investment.

The expansion supports growing demand for powder coatings across various industrial sectors and strengthens the company’s global market presence.
