Hempel appoints Malgorzata Kolton as new Head of Marine
Hempel has appointed Malgorzata Kolton as Executive Vice President & Head of Marine. She will take up the role on 1 January 2026, bringing extensive international leadership experience to strengthen the company’s marine coatings business.
The Danish coatings manufacturer Hempel has announced a key change to its executive team. Malgorzata (Gosha) Kolton will assume the position of Executive Vice President & Head of Marine on 1 January 2026 and join the company’s Executive Group Management. She succeeds Alexander Enström, who will move into the newly created role of Head of New Build within the Marine segment.
Kolton joins Hempel from Henkel Adhesive Technologies, where she most recently served as Vice President for Europe, overseeing one of the company’s largest regional business units. She brings a strong track record in driving transformation, fostering growth and advancing innovation. These capabilities align with Hempel’s strategy to further strengthen its position in the global marine and offshore coatings market.

With this leadership transition, Hempel is reinforcing its ambition to expand its marine coatings business globally. The segment includes protective and high-performance coatings for shipping and offshore applications, where durability and corrosion protection are key requirements.
