Mipa establishes Mipa Belgium and strengthens presence in Benelux
With the establishment of Mipa Belgium, the German coatings producer expands its activities in Western Europe. The takeover of Belgian distribution partner B-Coat opens new opportunities for growth.
On 1 September 2025, the subsidiary Mipa Nederland took over the automotive coatings and dealer business of long-standing Belgian importer B-Coat. The business will now operate under the name Mipa Belgium. B-Coat had been an important distribution partner for many years, contributing significantly to the successful presence of Mipa products in Belgium.
“With the establishment of Mipa Belgium, we are laying the foundation for an even stronger market presence in Belgium while ensuring continuity for our customers and partners,” stated Klaus Fritzsche, Member of the Board of the German coatings producer. He emphasised that bringing the organisation in the Benelux countries closer together will help exploit synergies and further strengthen services across the region.
Continuity and expanded market activities
For Belgian customers, both the Bornem site and most of the team will remain in place. Familiar contacts will continue to provide service, while new opportunities are created to expand product ranges and market activities.
The acquisition highlights the company’s growth strategy, aimed at expanding competitiveness in Europe. With its direct presence in Belgium, the German coatings producer establishes the foundation for long-term success in the region.
