ETCC 2026 in Prague: A hub for coatings innovation and sustainability

The European Technical Coatings Congress (ETCC) returns from 30 June to 2 July 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic. Under the theme “For a More Colourful World,” the event will explore advancements in paints, coatings, surface treatments, and sustainability while addressing emerging trends like AI and digitalisation.

The European Technical Coatings Congress (ETCC 2026) is set to take place from 30 June to 2 July 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic. This highly anticipated event will bring together professionals from across the coatings industry, including researchers, formulators, raw material suppliers, manufacturers, and application specialists. Operating under the motto “For a More Colourful World,” the congress aims to address key topics such as sustainability, advanced materials, testing methods, and emerging technologies like AI, automation, and digitalisation.

The scientific programme promises a robust lineup, featuring 80 oral presentations, 4 plenary lectures, and 36 poster contributions. Adding depth to the congress is the specialised “Smart Coatings” Summer School, scheduled for 29 June. The Summer School will include 10 expert lectures that bridge interdisciplinary topics like biomaterials and industrial innovation. Participating companies such as Evonik, Akzo Nobel, PPG, and Arkema, alongside academic institutions, highlight the congress’s relevance to both industry and academia.
