Siegwerk is advancing its long-term growth strategy “Formula 2030” with a significantly increased investment programme. In 2025, the company more than doubled its usual annual investment volume, directing resources towards expanding its global presence, enhancing technical capabilities, and optimising processes through automation and digitalisation. Over the next five years, Siegwerk plans to invest more than EUR 300 million in organic growth and operational efficiency, supported by targeted mergers and acquisitions.

A key investment in 2025 was the acquisition of Allinova, a specialist in functional coatings. The move strengthened Siegwerk’s coatings business and expanded its expertise in water-based dispersions. In addition, the company is building new capacities in India to support the growth of Allinova-developed functional coatings in Asia.

Regional expansion and new production sites

Siegwerk also extended its regional footprint in 2025. A new site in Dubai broadened the company’s presence in the Middle East, while the acquisition of additional land in Indonesia is intended to pave the way for future capacity expansion. A further milestone was the groundbreaking for the reconstruction and expansion of the production site in Bhiwadi, India, which, once completed, is set to become the company’s largest Centre of Excellence worldwide.

On the infrastructure side, Siegwerk modernised its global production and technology base. Investments included new inline white production facilities in Germany and the United States, warehouse extensions, and major IT projects — among them new platforms for customer relationship management and product lifecycle management.

Acquisitions and market position in flexible packaging

“Our increased investment activities demonstrate our commitment to strengthening capabilities, improving customer service and expanding our position in key growth markets,” said Nicolas Wiedmann, CEO at Siegwerk. “By combining strategic acquisitions with targeted infrastructure, technology and digitalization initiatives, we are building a future-ready organization that creates long-term value for customers and partners.”

The investment momentum continued into 2026 with the acquisition of Hi-Tech Inks in March, which the company states significantly strengthened its position in India’s flexible packaging segment. By combining manufacturing footprints and product portfolios, the two entities now account for more than 20 % of the Indian flexible packaging inks market, making Siegwerk the largest player in the region.
