Biesterfeld has appointed Joe Read as Managing Director for its UK and Ireland operations, effective 1 March 2026. Read will succeed Guy Payne, who will transition into a long-term advisory role after leading the company’s development in the region for over two decades.

Joe Read brings extensive expertise in the engineering polymers and composites industries. His professional background includes senior roles in sales, commercial leadership, and strategic marketing at companies such as DuPont, Delrin, and EMS-Chemie. Additionally, he has hands-on experience in the composites sector, having co-managed a distribution company with his father for several years.
