His daughter, Hanna Hesse, will join the management team as Co-CEO alongside Jens Hesse, representing the fourth generation of the family business. In her new role, she will be responsible for supply chain management and administration.

Hans Hesse commented: “I am proud that my daughter is succeeding me as managing director. She has been part of the Hesse Lignal team for 13 years and has held positions of responsibility for many years, most recently as head of supply chain.” Jens Hesse added: “In today’s environment, succession is far from a given. We are therefore all the more pleased that Hanna is taking on this responsibility. This decision sends a clear signal of continuity and future orientation.”

Founded in 1910 in Hamm, Germany, Hesse Lignal has more than a century of experience in the development and production of coatings and stains. The company operates internationally, with subsidiaries in Dubai, Belgium, France, the United States, and Munich, employing around 450 people worldwide. With the updated management structure, Hesse Lignal continues its family tradition while positioning the business for future challenges.
