Dr. Priya Anand leads the BASF Digital Material Profiling Lab and coordinates automated high‑throughput formulation screening for Industrial Coatings and Additives. She earned her PhD in Biosciences from the University of Heidelberg and followed by 4 years of Postdoctoral research at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in the field of Nanotechnology. In 2017, Dr. Anand joined BASF SE in Ludwigshafen as a Senior Scientist in Digitalization and, since 2022, has been part of the Industrial Coatings and Additives business segment ion BASF SE where she manages an automated application testing laboratory and oversees the high‑throughput formulation screening platform. With expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence, she builds large‑scale data pipelines and integrates AI/ML technologies across R&D phases, driving the adoption of a data‑driven innovation culture. Her goal is to leverage these strengths to co‑create innovations with customers, with digitalization serving as a key enabler. Dr. Anand is co‑author of more than 25 publications and is listed on multiple patents.
