Leadership change at Akzo Nobel: new head of global decorative paints business
Akzo Nobel is restructuring its Decorative Paints business unit. Daniel Geiger Rocha Campos takes on global responsibility, while Guilherme Matte Ruschel becomes the new President of the company’s Brazilian operations.
Paints and coatings manufacturer Akzo Nobel has announced a leadership change at the top of its Decorative Paints division. Daniel Geiger Rocha Campos, who previously oversaw the Asia-Pacific and Latin American markets, will assume global responsibility for the business unit as of May 1, 2025. The division will now operate under the name Global Deco, bringing together all international activities in the Decorative Paints segment.
As part of this restructuring, Guilherme Matte Ruschel, formerly General Manager of the business unit, has been appointed the new President of Akzo Nobel in Brazil.
Campos has been with the company for around ten years. Under his leadership, the Latin American region has become one of the company’s key growth markets and now contributes approximately 12% to overall company revenue. In his new role, Campos will be based at Akzo Nobel’s global headquarters in Amsterdam. Ruschel will continue to operate from Brazil and will strategically advance the company’s development in the region.
