Binders

The binder has always formed the backbone of coatings, giving them stability and structure. A whole range of different polymers are used for this purpose. From acrylates, polyurethanes, alkyds or epoxides to inorganic binders, the spectrum is extensive. They are processed either dissolved in organic solvents, as aqueous dispersions or as powders.
