EC Webinar | High-performance Polyaryletherketone (PAEK) as an alternative to PTFE
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) pans are widely used in kitchens because they keep food from sticking while cooking. However, with growing concerns about materials containing PFAS, there is a need for new alternatives. Polyaryletherketone (PAEK) is being investigated as a new nonstick coating material. PAEK offers excellent thermal stability, chemical resistance and mechanical properties, making it a promising alternative to traditional PTFE coatings. The results will provide insight into the material properties and specific cookware performance of the new PAEK coating.
This webinar is a preview to the EC Conference Understanding PFAS and Reformulating PFAS-free Coatings and is free of charge. To find out the full story behind PFAS join our conference in Cologne from 18-19 November 2024!
The 1,5 day conference explains which substances are of concern, but which ones are useful and less critical. What alternatives are already available? And which areas show the most potential as well as the current limitations. International experts will report on the newest developments and innovations on PFAS and alternatives.
