EC Webinar on behalf of Micro Powders: Replacing PTFE with Composite Additive Powders
PTFE-based powders are highly effective additives for improving surface lubricity and durability, but emerging regulatory restrictions for PFAS substances have driven many coating formulators to qualify alternate products. This presentation will describe how highly engineered composite particles based on combinations of conventional wax materials with hard, durable inorganics (including aluminum oxide and ceramic) can provide improved performance for both scratch and abrasion resistance vs. conventional PTFE-based additives.

Abstract
PTFE-based powders are highly effective additives for improving surface lubricity and durability, but emerging regulatory restrictions for PFAS substances have driven many coating formulators to qualify alternate products. This presentation will describe how highly engineered composite particles based on combinations of conventional wax materials with hard, durable inorganics (including aluminum oxide and ceramic) can provide improved performance for both scratch and abrasion resistance vs. conventional PTFE-based additives.
Who should attend:
Formulators, chemists, scientists, lab/research managers and directors, EHS managers, and purchasing managers in the paints, inks, and industrial coatings
industries.
