Markus has 20 years of experience in the coatings industry, specializing in the field of fire protection coatings.
He worked in various positions with DuPont & Sika, covering, but not limited to R&D, Engineering and Approval Management.
In addition, Markus is working in several fire protection associations and is an active member of several standardization committees in Europe (CEN/ DIN)

Dr. Sebastian Moschel

Manager Innovation and Application Development, Budenheim

From 2004 to 2013, Dr. Sebastian Moschel gained a diploma and a PhD in organic chemistry at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany. Until 2018, he worked for Atotech on the development of corrosion protection coatings for the automotive industry. Today at Budenheim, he is responsible for innovation and application development in the cluster paints with a strong focus on flame retardant ingredients for coatings and composites.

Dr. Sabyasachi Gaan

Group Leader (Additives & Chemistry) Advanced Fibres, Empa

Dr. Sabyasachi Gaan is a group leader in Empa, St Gallen. He has more than 10 years’ experience in development of halogen free flame retardant additives. His team currently focuses in synthesis of novel additives for application on polymer and metals. His team has successfully commercialized new phosphorus based flame-retardants. Most notable achievement is the commercialisation of EDA-DOPO and its Reach registration. His research on flame retardancy of polymers includes organophosphorus compounds, their application in various polymers and investigating mechanistic aspects of these flame-retardants.
