Abstract
Wax Additives – true multi-talents
A comparison of non-fossile biogenic wax additives and its synthetic or fossile counterparts.The coatings sector has a limited range of renewable and sustainable raw materials to choose from. To meet consumer expectations and legal requirements, alternatives are needed that ensure sustainable use of resources. Today’s sustainable alternatives often lag their synthetic counterparts in performance or price, but rapid progress is being made in the development of suitable substitutes. In the area of wax additives, sustainable solutions are available. Here, we compare their property profiles with those of fossil products.
