 TS&D Scientist Architectural and Industrial Coatings EMEAI - The Dow Chemical Company

Denis Rodionov is responsible for the ongoing development of the European market, ensuring Dow customers continue to have access to innovative technology solutions in the Architectural and Industrial Coatings sectors. His speciality and focus are on the wood coatings segment.

Denis joined Dow Coating Materials in 2010 as Senior Technical Sales representative for the Coatings business, focusing on the Architectural, Traffic, General Industrial Finishing, and Protective Coatings segments. In 2019, Denis took on an expanded role as TS&D Scientist for Industrial Wood Coatings in EMEAI.

Before joining Dow, he worked for 10 years as a scientist and held several key technical roles, including the head of a polymerization department. Most recently, he served as the R&D laboratory manager at a binder producing company, leading the technical development team for PSA tapes, paper, leather and decorative coatings as well as GIF/PC.

Earlier in his career, Denis was a research scientist for two years, specializing in water-soluble polymers designed for use in dry and wet mortars. During his time in industry and academia, he has also published several scientific papers.

Denis has earned a master’s degree in Polymer and Colloidal Chemistry from Nizhny Novgorod State University in Russia.
