Kraton earns Ecovadis silver-level sustainability rating
For the seventh consecutive year the Kraton Corporation received a Silver recognition medal for its sustainability rating from EcoVadis.

Kraton Corporation, a leading global producer of styrenic block copolymers, specialty polymers and high-value performance products derived from pine wood pulping co-products, announces that it received a silver recognition medal for its sustainability rating from EcoVadis. It is the seventh consecutive year the company was recognised for commendable sustainability performance.
"This continuous recognition demonstrates Kraton’s commitment to sustainability at every level of our organisation,” said Nella Baerents, Kraton’s Sustainability Policy Director. "We believe sustainability will help us to grow, improve productivity and manage risks.”
High integrity and ethical behavior
Kraton works with more than 6,000 suppliers globally. Kraton’s supplier code of conduct, conflict minerals policy, and slavery and human trafficking statement guides suppliers on Kraton’s expectations. This includes high integrity and ethical behavior regarding human rights, material supply sourcing and fair competition. In 2018, Kraton began rolling out its responsible procurement program and became an Enterprise user of EcoVadis ratings to further improve sustainability performance and reduce risks in the supply chain.
"Our direct engagement with customers, and especially suppliers, through the EcoVadis platform is an example of risk management in action,” said Suzanne Pesgens, Kraton’s Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer. "At the end of the day, we have to progress and build a sustainable economy together with all actors in the value chain. No company can do it alone.”

The Rheology Handbook
Already in its 5th edition, this standard work describes the principles of rheology clearly, vividly and in practical terms. The book includes the rheology of additives in waterborne dispersions and surfactant systems. Not only it is a great reference book, it can also serve as a textbook for studying the theory behind the methods. The practical use of rheology is presented in the areas quality control, production and application, chemical and mechanical engineering, materials science and industrial research and development. After reading this book, the reader should be able to perform tests with rotational and oscillatory rheometers and interpret the results correctly.
