Beckers publishes sustainability report and presents 2030 sustainability strategy

Coatings company Beckers has published its 2019 sustainability report. The company regards its newly launched 2030 sustainability strategy a major milestone.

The report gives a picture of last year’s activities. Among the topics are background stories on the multi-national stakeholder workshop, partnering for change with customers and suppliers, the company's climate impact and steps towards circular economy as well as the progress with the social sustainability roadmap, showing first results in improved gender diversity in hiring.

Nicklas Augustsson, Global Sustainability Director at Beckers, adds: "We have made significant progress in our sustainability work throughout 2019. Our multi-national stakeholder workshop served as one of the foundations for our 2030 strategy. Our efforts to reduce our climate impact, also in the value chain, show in the switch to intermodal transport wherever we can, and our approach to material and functional sustainability of our coatings is something we have been working on for a long time. With our social sustainability roadmap in place since 2018 we now have great results in employee growth and gender diversity.”
