New exhibitions and conferences in Asia Pacific and Middle East
From September 21-23, 2022, the two partners will initiate the Pacific Coatings Show for the first time at the Jakarta International Expo convention center in Indonesia. In the United Arab Emirates, NürnbergMesse will organize the Gulf Coatings Show together with Vincentz Network at the Expo Centre Sharjah from October 16-18, 2022. Both trade shows will be held biennially in the future.
"With the Pacific Coatings Show and the Gulf Coatings Show, we are opening up new communication channels for interested exhibitors and visitors and thus sales opportunities in global as well as local future markets. What is decisive for us is that the success factors of the European Coatings Show as the world's leading trade show for the coatings industry - such as an attractive price-performance ratio, integration into the global network of our coatings shows, high service quality, a globally recognized coatings technology conference, a fixed location and biennial rotation - also apply to our new events. They are already supported by industry giants such as Evonik, Niemann or VMA-Getzmann," says Alexander Mattausch, Executive Director Exhibitions, NürnbergMesse.
Exciting future prospects and growth potential
Kristina Wilger, Director Event Management Vincentz Network, adds: "Our aim with the two new Coatings Shows is to establish recognized trade shows that network international decision-makers with regional solution providers and, together with selected international speakers, significantly promote the transfer of coatings knowledge in the context of a scientific-technical lecture and networking event - as we are already doing extremely successfully worldwide. The coatings markets in the Gulf region and Asia-Pacific offer exciting future prospects and growth potential. With our many years of industry expertise, we look forward to creating just the right platform for each market."
And indeed, according to forecasts, the entire Asia-Pacific region will account for the largest share, circa 50 percent, of the global paint and coatings market in the future. The Southeast Asian markets for paints and coatings, for example, are predicted to grow at an average rate of around 5 percent over the next five years. Reasons for this include a growing manufacturing sector, booming construction, high demand for decorative products and its increasing role as a major automotive location.
The Middle East, as a hub between three continents, is also considered a lucrative future market for the coatings industry. In 2019, the Middle East and North Africa regional coatings market size was estimated at a total value of $9.9 billion, with a volume of 3.1 billion liters. According to forecasts, this is expected to grow by 4.1% in value and 2.6% in volume per year over the next five years.
