Allnex introduces a cost‐effective solution for formulators of waterbased UV-curable wood coatings looking to differentiate and customise their products. The tin and VOC‐free radiation‐curable polyurethane dispersion was developed for industrial wood and furniture applications.

"Ucecoat 7788” offers a combination of versatility, stability and performance/cost ratio. It is characterised by best‐in class value‐in‐use properties such as drying behaviour and dispersion

stability. Further it offers a good balance in elasticity, hardness and toughness resulting in a  good coin resistance. Coatings based on the new dispersion are tack‐free before cure, offering ease of use without compromising on esthetical aspect. Finally, its novel polymer design offers a wide compatibility with other polymer chemistries as acrylics or even alkyds, enabling formulators to explore new blending combinations off the beaten track.
