Polyester polyol meets market need for sustainable PUDs

Fully biobased polyester polyol for polyurethane dispersions offers good hydrolytic stability, UV stability, chemical resistance and adhesion to non-polar substrates.

Croda Coatings & Polymers introduces a fully biobased polyester polyol for polyurethane dispersions, "Priplast 3293”. According to the company, the semi-crystalline polyol outperforms polyether and adipate polyester polyols on hydrolytic stability, UV stability, chemical resistance and adhesion to non-polar substrates. The polyol meets the growing market need for high performance, sustainable polyurethane dispersions, offering good hydrolytic stability, chemical resistance to attack by moisture, alkali or acid, good outdoor stability and UV degradation protection, improved adhesion to non-polar substratesm improved scratch resistance, as well as 100 % renewable carbon content.
