Tuesday, 8 January 2013

Using one paint system for any type of aircraft is now possible. Not depending on fleet or decorative differences means lower maintenance efforts.

The maintenance systems meet AMS 3095A and allow airlines and paint facilities to use one and the same paint system for any type of aircraft.

AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings present its latest high gloss exterior paint systems for aircraft. Customized to the individual needs of the paint facility, the preferred paint solution provides customers, managing a mixed fleet of aircraft, maximum benefit with minimum change.

It removes mixed fleet complexity by bringing one decorative system that facilitates the maintenance of the entire fleet of aircraft, no matter what type or model it is. To airlines it means that appearance variability within their fleet will be eliminated.

Chrome-free solution will come in the near future

A total chrome-free option is expected to receive AMS 3095A qualification soon.

The chrome-free system option combines the use of "Metaflex SP 1050" surface preparation with a chrome-free primer and a topcoat system. The topcoat system can be either an environmentally progressive base coat/clear coat or a single stage topcoat.
