RockTron’s new UK plant to boost production capacity

RockTron’s new plant in the UK will produce 800,000 tonnes of eco-minerals per year.

RockTron has launched its Advanced Products Range including "eco-minerals" fillers/extenders on an industrial scale with no waste stream. The company’s new UK plant is located at Fiddler’s Ferry, near Widnes in Cheshire, and will produce 800,000 tonnes of these minerals p.a. The minerals are serving as functional fillers for improved wear resistance for components and coatings, intumescent coatings and micro-biocides. They can also be coated to change their surface chemistry for use in paints & coatings, flooring, plastics, elastomers, thermoplastics, thermosets, tyre manufacturing and electronics.
