Fluoropolymers: Arkema invests to raise the production in France

Monday, 2 July 2012

The investment will raise Arkema’s production capacity by 50 % at the Pierre-Bénite site in France.

Arkema has announced a major project for the development of its PVDF fluoropolymer business in Europe. The company will invest over EUR 70 million into the Pierre-Bénite site in France. This capital expenditure plan will help increase fluoropolymer production capacity by 50 % at the French site by 2014.

In addition to Europe with Pierre-Bénite, Saint-Auban and Zaramillo, Arkema operates world-scale fluorochemicals facilities in China with the Changshu platform and in the United States with the Calvert City site, both of which have been benefiting from many investments in the last 3 years.
