ECS: Meet the new ones

Tuesday, 5 March 2019

The European Coatings Show is coming closer. This year, many companies will take part in the ECS for the first time. We asked four of them to tell us something about their company and what they will present to the visitors.

One of the new exhibitors is the Turkish company ACC Kimya. The company was established in 2010 and produces pigment pastes suitable for water-based, solvent-based, universal, tinting, polyurethane, solvent, solvent-free epoxies and liquid masterbatch systems.

"We aim to sign new partnerships with producers and distributors in the paint and coatings sector as well as to increase our exports”, says Vesile Kutbay of ACC Kimya when asked about her plans for the fair.

Also new at the European Coatings Show is the Spanish company Laiex. "We are a Spanish chemical company specialised in water-based polymerisation”, explains export Sales Manager Alberto Abellán. The company wants to show their acrylic, and vinyl versatate polymers, thermoformed latexes of styrene-butadiene and their compounds.

Another new exhibitor will be the Entwicklungs- und Prüflabor Holztechnologie (EPH) from Germany. The EPH is an accredited, European Notified Testing Laboratory with headquarters in Dresden. Its main activities lie in conducting physico-mechanical surface and fire tests, environmental simulations and pollutant tests.

There will also be some new exhibitors from other continents. For example Sumter Coatings from the United States. The company focuses on formulating, manufacturing and distributing industrial and specialty coatings through B2B and through a distributor network."We are approached frequently by European coatings manufacturers to help them service their North America customers by way of toll manufacturing and inventory management”, explains John Flowers, Executive Director at Sumter, when asked about the reason for exhibiting at the show.
