After two years of declines in 2009 and 2010, the Polish construction chemicals market saw a levelling off in the sector, which totalled slightly more than EUR 1.5 billion in 2011. Moreover, construction and assembly companies are showing cautious optimism as to the consumption of construction chemicals in 2012 with single-family housing, which is less vulnerable to changes in the market situation, playing a major role behind these developments.  The results of a survey of 400 small and medium-sized construction companies conducted for the purposes of PMR’s report entitled "Construction chemicals market in Poland 2012 − Development forecasts for 2012-2014” indicate a fairly strong mood prevailing in the construction chemicals market in Poland. Urban areas account for as much as three-quarters of construction chemicals’ consumption. As far as thermal insulation systems are concerned, urban regions contribute a slightly smaller share as they account for around two-thirds of the market.
