Forbo sells parts of its business to H.B. Fuller

H.B. Fuller has agreed to acquire the global industrial adhesives and synthetic polymer business of Forbo Group.

Industrial adhesive, sealant and chemical producer H.B. Fuller has agreed to acquire the global industrial adhesives and synthetic polymer business of Forbo Group for USD 394 million in cash. The acquisition will enhance H.B. Fuller’s position in the adhesives industry, the company said. The business to be acquired represents about 80 % of the revenue of the Forbo Boding Systems division of Forbo Group and operates 17 manufacturing facilities in 10 countries, and employs more than 1,100 people globally. The deal is expected to close as soon as March 2012. The construction adhesives business is not part of the divestment.
