Part of The Sherwin-Williams Company’s Global Finishes Group, Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings will continue to manufacture the range of passive fire protection (PFP) products, as it looks to expand its portfolio and grow its presence in markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Active in asset protection, the company provides time-tested, high performance PFP and anti-corrosive coatings solutions to the fire protection, steel, oil and gas and marine sectors, among others. "Driven by technology, innovation and quality products, the transition to the Sherwin-Williams name was the natural next step in the integration of the two companies”, comments Gordon Bell, general manager Protective & Marine Coatings (EMEA) at Sherwin-Williams. "We look forward to entering new markets across EMEA,” he added.

Based in Bolton, UK, Leighs Paints was acquired by The Sherwin-Williams Company in July 2011. With European sales and technical support centres including sites in the UK, Germany and UAE, Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings currently distributes products across 47 countries worldwide.
