Jotun opens new manufacturing facility in Norway

Jotun’s new factory will serve the Scandinavian market with as much as 80 million litres of paint per year.

Jotun has officially inaugurated its new paint production facility for decorative paints, tinters and fillers at Vindal in Sandefjord/Norway. The new 13 000 square meter factory will serve the Scandinavian market with as much as 80 million litres of paint per year. At a cost of about NOK 500 million (NOK 1= EUR 0.13), the new production site represents the company’s largest investment to date. The new factory replaces production at the paint producer’s existing facility in Sandefjord, and will manufacture all of the company’s decorative paints, tinters and fillers for Scandinavia. Moreover, all production of coatings for industry and shipping will be moved to the company's facility in Flixborough, England.
