Looser Group company Industrielack AG (ILAG) formally inaugurated its new business premises in Wangen, Central Switzerland. The new building represents an investment of around CHF 18 million (CHF 1 = EUR 0.83). The new site extend over two floors and accommodate the company's administrative offices, laboratories, production facilities, warehousing and common areas over some 6,700 square metres.

The coatings producer has had its prime business premises in the nearby town of Lachen for more than 50 years. Over that time, however, the offices, production facilities and warehousing capacity had become too small for the internationally-active company. Local further expansion options had also been exhausted, given the site's proximity to a residential area. "Without totally new premises and the extra capacities they could provide, we would have had very little chance of making our growth plans happen,” Hans-Georg Geisel, ILAG's Managing Director, concedes.

The first sod was cut on the new project in July 2011. Just over a year later, beginning of August, the company moved into its new Wangen premises and commenced production there. "The new facilities meet the needs of our employees and fulfil all our demanding requirements in laboratory, production and warehousing terms,” confirms Geisel. "Our move to the Leuholz site marks a further milestone in ILAG's development, in both national and international terms.” At the same time, he continues, "our relocation is also a clear commitment on our part to Switzerland in general, and to the Lachen-Wangen region in particular.”
