They launched the first English Master course for Paint Chemist in the premises of ITECH Engineering School. Nine students were selected on the basis of their curriculum and a short video where they presented themselves and explained their motivation to start a career in the coatings industry.

Jérôme Marcilloux, Director of ITECH opened the ceremony with these words: "This is an important step forward for the coatings industry and our school.”
Jacques Menicucci, President of CEPE and CEO of Allios explained how vast the paint industry is, with over 100.000 jobs in Europe. This industry offers numerous care technical know-how of paints. And this is exactly what the proposed program offers. Seven member companies of CEPE agreed to fund this first group of students and offered them to carry on their internship periods in one of their laboratories (being AkzoNobel, Allios, BASF, Beckers, Blanchon, Helios and PPG).

Since many years, ITECH has a dedicated three year Master course for paint engineering in French.
